We rent our house a few times a year to support our residencies, education programs and artist project grants.

Your stay at Pocoapoco makes you a key supporter and critical member of Pocoapoco's growing community of local and international artists, cultural workers, and social practitioners.

Details

  • Pocoapoco is housed in a stunning traditional Oaxacan family home located in the center of Oaxaca City. Built in the late 1800’s, it was renovated by Portuguese architect João Boto Caeiro (also known for Oaxaca's Hotel Amantes, Hotel Sin Nombre amongst others) in 2013. It now holds three independent apartments, a large work studio, communal kitchen & an office space, and large central patio shaded by a pochote tree. The private roof terrace offers an unparalleled view overlooking the city and nearby Santo Domingo church. Each apartment is equipped with its own bathroom and kitchen or kitchenette. The three apartments have a total of four bedrooms and the house sleeps 8-10 comfortably.

The Pocoapoco home has been featured recently in publications such as Architectural Digest Mexico, The Modern House (UK) and Openhouse Magazine (Spain).
